Happy Lunar New Year: suede skirt + purple blouse

Happy Lunar New Year, everyone! I wish everyone a wonderful year of the rooster. May your days be filled with happiness, great health, and great food!

My family always a get together and has a great dinner prepared by my very own, chef mama. I mostly just eat away and collect on the lucky red envelopes. Don't worry, I also help do the dishes. :p What are your Lunar New Year traditions?

I don't have very much red, so I thought I'd wear burgundy and purple instead. This skirt is awesome because of the elastic waistband and the beautiful draping. It allows me to devour delicious food while ever expanding with my food baby grows. The vegan suede is also soft and warm for the chilly nights.

The purple sleeveless blouse is one of my favorites. It is a great layering piece that can be easily worn with dress pants, jeans, skirts, and even over dresses. It will definitely get a lot of use. Also, it is on sale!

Also, I am living in my Aquatalia Rhumba boots this winter. They are very comfortable, practical, and goes with so much of my wardrobe.

Night out: scalloped sweater + knife pleated skirt

I love to pair a cropped sweater with a skirt because it gives the illusion my legs are longer (but mostly because it hides my midriff).

This sweater has been on repeat this winter because it keeps me so warm and has cute scalloped details. To make walking more fun, I decided to pair it with a skirt that has great movement and beautiful knife pleats.
Both pieces are from Aritzia, which is one of my favorite stores. They carry sizes starting from xxxs (perfect for pixel sized me!).

Yes, the skirt has pockets

comfortable shoes are a must

I love the way this skirts moves with me

All about me

Welcome to my first blog post!

It all started when I began my Instagram account and I realized there was more I wanted to say about my photos.

Here are a few things you didn't know about me. I am very petite, standing at only 4'11 and a shoe size of 4. It has always been a struggle for me to find clothing that doesn't overwhelm my frame AND appropriate for my age. With many years of researching and sifting through the internet and shopping malls, I have finally found some designers and brands that I feel are actually petite friendly. I try to keep my style very simple, classic, and versatile. It takes a while to find pieces I love, so having them interchangeable and standing the test of time is a major plus.

SO, if you are also petite like a pixel or you are just curious, tune in to see my attempts to avoid looking like a very young adult!
