It's been a while but it is good to be back. The heat is slowly creeping up on us, and it is now dress weather! For this beautiful Sunday, I chose this awesome denim dress from Anthropologie. It is made of a really soft denim and loose fit, which is perfect for the Spring breezes and also my not so ready bikini bod.
It is once again stormy here in SF. Dark, wet, and windy. Today, I am your sunshine. Here to brighten up your day and hopefully bring a smile to your face. If that didn't work, maybe this will... this cashmere sweater is currently still available at Nordstrom Rack in a variety of sizes. It is soft, warm, fuzzy, and brightens up any closet, room, office you walk into.
When I am shopping, I try to find items that I can wear for a long time. It is hard to find petite clothes that fit right so when I find them, I need to make sure they will stand the test of time. Who knows when I will find more clothes that will fit?! It's also an excuse I have used on my husband when we happen to walk by great pieces that may not be wallet friendly. (this dress was a steal though. no convincing needed!)
Nothing more classic than black and white, am I right?! This is one of my favorite dresses. First of all, it stretches. Second of all, the colors, cut, fit means I can dress it up or down and will go for many occasions. From the office, to a night out with the girls. This dress has the versatility to come with me to practically any event.
My nose certainly thinks Spring is here. It is still kind of chilly at times though. I was able to score this very petite friendly sweater from J.Crew (the sleeve length is surprisingly fitting). Of course it has extra buttons that add to the normally plain cream colored sweater. And yes, my pants are from the girl's section of Nordstrom's. It can be hard to find black pants in the children's department, but when you do, no alterations are needed!
I am having a love affair with Rag & Bone lately. Their quality and styles fit into my lifestyle easily. Most importantly, they have sizes that start at 23 waist and XXS tops.
For this beautiful and slightly warmer Saturday grocery run, I chose a loose fit gray sweater (I love gray sweaters). I am drawn to the different tones of gray and also the texture of this sweater. It adds more to the outfit than just plain ol' gray sweater (although there is nothing wrong with that). The loose fit allows it to be easily layered, and wool means I can wear it in all year long!!
The Celine Nano luggage tote is one of my favorite purses. It is very functional and gives a classic silhouette a more modern update. The strap is pretty long for me, but a simple knot helps position the tote at a more comfortable height. It also fits quite a bit and the crossbody shoulder strap means I can have my hands free to grab food.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentine's day <3
I am not really one to celebrate this hallmark of a holiday, but it occurred to me while I was standing in line at the supermarket with all the heart shaped balloons, cards, candy, flowers, etc... This Valentine's Day is not just going to be about spreading joy and love to others, but also, and most importantly, to love yourself. Do something today that makes you happy. I'm going to be sitting on my couch, with a bowl of spaghetti, some wine, in front of the TV and watch what I feel like on Netflix!!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I am currently still overcoming a cold and cough, but since there is a break in the rainstorms, I decided to crawl out of bed.
I prefer to keep my outfits pretty simple and have little details to make them more special.
Still trying to keep myself warm, I opted for this blue sweater. OH, but it isn't just a sweater... it's a wool mock turtleneck sweater with gold button details on the shoulder! Underneath is my UNIQLO heat tech crew neck shirt because I didn't want to feel the wind between the knits. :) I threw on the sweater with a pair of blue jeans and my trusty Aquatalia boots that can be worn rain OR shine.
I grabbed my small Chanel boy because I was trying to psych myself out. When you look good, you FEEL good, right?? :D I have always been a big fan of the Chanel Boy theme. I purchased a wallet on chain boy in Paris ~2 years ago and I just knew I wanted needed to add another small boy to my handbag collection. What drew me to this particular Chanel boy bag, was the pleated chevron details. It is a great twist from the classic Chanel quilted pattern, which my boy WOC already possessed. These chevron pleated details is exactly what gives my two boy bags completely different looks, whilst still being a BOY.
